Summary & Specific Requirements:

Previous clerical experience & proficient computer skills required; ability to work in a busy, high-stress, medical team environment.  Previous experience as unit secretary preferred.  Previous experience in medical setting preferred.  Knowledge of medical terminology and CPR certification needed (can be obtained after hire / training available).

Positions Hours:  Potentially flexible hours, M - F                                   

Full-Time (36-40 hrs/week)  

 

Summary & Specific Requirements:   Hospital-certified coder or person with substantiated medical experience/ background and required 2 years of college with ability to train/take classes to become a Certified Professional Coder- Hospital within first year of hire.  Employer will financially assist in coder program and national testing for certification, pursuant to a commitment to work a minimum of 3 years following successful completion of hospital coding certification (CPC-H).  Computer skills required.  Applicants must be reliable and professional in working with co-workers and the public alike.  Good telephone and organizational skills a must.  Benefits apply per policy.

 

Medical terminology, spreadsheet and word-processing testing required for selected applicants prior to interview.
